形態特徵

• Rhizome short. Culms 50-180 cm tall, robust, several nodose.
• Leaves basal or subbasal; blades, 4-10 mm wide, shorter than culm; basal sheaths brown.
• Inflorescence paniculate, with 3 to 6 partial penicles. Partial panicles binate or ternate, 3-9 cm long, some further branched, bearing 3 to 14 spikelets; peduncled exserted. Bracts leafy, lower blades surpassing inflorescence; lower bract sheaths 3-5 cm long. Spikelets androgynous, oblong to lanceolate, somewhat flexuous, 1-6 cm long, subdensely flowered, sessile or short peduncled.
• Pistillate glumes ovate to elliptic, 2.8-3 mm long, light brown; apex acute, mucronate. Utricles longer than glume, suberect, elliptic to oblong, 4.5-6 mm long, compressed, trigonous, pale brown, finely many-veined, hispidulous, beak ca. 1 mm long, 2-cleft. Achenes tightly enveloped, oblong to elliptic, trigonous, 3.5-4 mm long; style thickened at base; stigmas 3.

• 台灣 : forest floor, 500-1,500 m.
